Chief Medical Officer and Chief Nursing Officer Letters in 2014, 2015 and 2016 have provided guidance to NHS staff and other professionals delivering sensitive and responsive services. These letters also direct the professionals to the available training, some of which has been developed by relevant third sector organisations and funded by the Scottish Government.
