S5W-04256: Lewis Macdonald (North East Scotland)

Scottish Labour

Date lodged: 1 November 2016

To ask the Scottish Government what plans it has regarding future arrangements for managing Scotland's fishing resources after Brexit.

Answered by: Fergus Ewing 9 November 2016

The Scottish Government has devolved responsibility for fisheries management and will continue to do so in the event that we leave the European Union. We will continue to work closely with the fishing industry and other stakeholders to ensure that resources are harvested sustainably and that the fishing industry and associated communities are able to thrive in the long-term.
