To ask the Scottish Government what its response is to statistics published in the Scottish Grocers Federation's report, The Scottish Crime Report 2016, which indicate that 40% of convenience store staff experience at least one incident of violence per year and that 82% experience at least one incident of abuse.

No incident of abuse experienced by convenience store staff, physical or verbal, should be tolerated. Alongside the Scottish Crime Report 2016, the Scottish Grocers’ Federation in partnership with the Scottish Business Resilience Centre has published helpful and useful guidance for its members on a range of crime prevention measures.
