S5W-12197: Angus MacDonald (Falkirk East)

Scottish National Party

Date lodged: 26 October 2017

To ask the Scottish Government how many fire safety inspectors there were on 30 September (a) 2017, (b) 2010 and (c) 2007.

Answered by: Annabelle Ewing 2 November 2017

On 30 September 2017, SFRS had 68 uniformed Fire Safety Enforcement Officers deployed across all of Scotland’s communities. This is supplemented by 13 specialist non-uniformed Auditing Officers.

The Scottish Government doesn’t hold information on the numbers of uniformed Fire Safety Enforcement Officers for 2007 and 2010. The statistics for these years are owned and published by SFRS.
