To ask the Scottish Government to what extent checks are carried out to ensure that individuals applying for insolvency are genuinely insolvent.

The Accountant in Bankruptcy undertakes all investigations necessary to be satisfied that the statutory requirements as set out in the Bankruptcy (Scotland) Act 2016 are met before awarding bankruptcy.
