S5O-01925: Claudia Beamish (South Scotland)

Scottish Labour

Date lodged: 14 March 2018

To ask the Scottish Government, to avoid serial applications by developers, what provisions there are in the Planning (Scotland) Bill to ensure that communities have an equal right of appeal in planning decisions.

Answered by: Kevin Stewart 21 March 2018

There are currently some restrictions to serial applications. However we do not intend to introduce significant changes to rights of appeal in the planning system.
