S5W-18061: Donald Cameron (Highlands and Islands)

Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party

Date lodged: 8 August 2018

To ask the Scottish Government what progress is being made on putting in place the (a) physical infrastructure and (b) administrative processes required for the Low Emission Zone in Glasgow, and how much it has allocated towards this.

Answered by: Michael Matheson 29 August 2018

The physical infrastructure and administrative processes will be for Glasgow City Council to decide upon for their city specific Low Emission Zone. It is anticipated that £2.2 million capital funding will be available in 2018/19 to support local authorities introducing Low Emission Zones to progress these aspects.
