S5W-21002: Kezia Dugdale (Lothian)

Scottish Labour

Date lodged: 15 January 2019

To ask the Scottish Government what information it has regarding how many in-scope businesses that it has (a) commissioned and (b) contracted are failing to comply with section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Answered by: Derek Mackay 23 January 2019

Scottish Government have contracts with around 125 unique suppliers that have an annual turnover of £36 million or more. All of these suppliers have either provided us with a copy of their Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement or we have identified one on their website.

This relates to core Scottish Government contracts and does not include contracts let by agencies or NDPBs.
